Socialization
It is our belief that proper socialization is absolutely essential. It is the main component in raising a happy, confident, well adjusted pup. Our family starts socializing the day they are whelped. The puppies are held and massaged daily. At 3 days of age we begin early Neuro-Stimulization which lasts until they are 16 days old. I believe in the “ Rule of 7s”socialization methods. As recommended, we try to introduce our puppies to 7 different sounds , 7 toys, 7 surfaces, 7 locations, 7 feeding containers, 7 people (young and old, ) and 7 different challenges.
Our puppies are in our family room and spend a lot of time individually with our family and weather permitting, we take them outside for playtime. As an additional experience, my mother lives close by and the puppies travel to her house to visit and play.
When they are 7 weeks old we start introducing them to the crate and spend a lot of time spoiling them. The puppies become used to spa day when they are bathed, dried, brushed and nails clipped. This helps to prepare them for future grooming. Our puppies are not camera shy either because we have many picture taking sessions and are used to posing for their picture.
We have given our puppies a great beginning. We have invested many hours nurturing them, introducing them to many different sights, sounds, and experiences. We are responsible for the first eight weeks. You are responsible for the rest of their lives.
It is your job to continue what we have started and remember, you are always training your puppy. It is now up to you to make them the best they can be.
